Founded in 1936 as a limited company, Allen & Page has a rich history that dates back even further, as the Page family had been producing and selling high-quality horse feeds for several years prior to its official establishment. Initially, the company operated from a mill at Quayside, Norwich, and quickly gained a reputation throughout East Anglia for the exceptional feed it produced.
Throughout its history, Allen & Page has been committed to continuous innovation and improvement. One significant milestone in the company’s development was the relocation to a modern, state-of-the-art mill in Shipdham, Norfolk. This move provided Allen & Page with the advanced technology necessary to produce feeds that surpassed the market standard in terms of wholesomeness and environmental sustainability—a commitment that remains at the heart of the company’s ethos.
Over two decades ago, Allen & Page received accreditations from numerous prominent food production and quality control organizations, such as the Vegetarian Society, Soil Association, and ISO organizations. These accreditations set a high bar for the company, which continues to work closely with these organizations to ensure that they maintain the highest quality in their feed production.
Our History and Legacy Despite its growth and evolution, Allen & Page remains a family business, with more than four generations of experience contributing to the development and expansion of the company into the national feed producer it is today. In 2009, Allen & Page was honored to receive a Royal Warrant from HRH The Prince of Wales, further solidifying its reputation as a trusted and respected name in the industry.
As Allen & Page looks to the future, the company remains dedicated to exploring new ways to innovate and improve. Drawing upon the wealth of knowledge and experience gained from nearly a century of producing horse feed, the company continues to evolve while staying true to its roots and commitment to producing high-quality, environmentally responsible products.
